Improvements

New features

Duplicate & compare plans

Now you can compare alternative planning scenarios by duplicating and comparing a plan. For example you might want to take a look at what your demand may be if sales were 20% lower than you expect or if you opened up 10 new locations. Now you can create those scenarios and compare them.

How does duplicate plans work?

First find the plan you wish to duplicate to create a new scenario. Then click the three dot kebab menu on the right hand side of the plan card. Then select "Duplicate plan".

You then have the option of duplicating all or a part of your plan.

How does comparing plans work?

With "Compare plans" you can compare up to 3 plans to compare alternative demand and supply scenarios. To compare plans select "Compare plans" on the "Demand" or "Supply" review page.

Additional supply drivers

You can now forecast the supply of your workforce with greater precision using a variety of Supply drivers. Including:

  • Retirement
  • Voluntary leavers
  • External hiring

How do additional supply drivers work?

Select the drivers you wish to use and then input the relevant assumptions.

Retirement

Retirement allows you to set a default retirement age for your workforce plan. When an employee reaches the assumed retirement age in the plan they will be considered to be no longer available.

Voluntary leavers

Voluntary leavers allows you to set a default attrition rate for your workforce. You can then override the attrition rate by role cluster and or another dimension. Overrides can be set to kick in from a specific plan interval.

External hiring

You can use external hiring to fill any gaps between between workforce demand and supply. When this assumption is activated Orgvue will automatically close any workforce gaps for you in your plan by assuming that your organization will back-fill any lost supply of labour.

Connect to Business Intelligence (BI) platforms

You can now present your organization's key measures such as Spans, Layers, Organizational Costs and metrics from your to-be design in executive friendly dashboards in PowerBI, Tableau and other BI platforms.

Improvements

List view

See your datasets in a list view in workspace. Sort, filter and search them to find what you are looking for faster.

How does list view work?

Select the list icon on the right-hand-side of the search bar to switch to list view.

When in list view you can:

  • Filter by type
  • Sort by name
  • Where the data is from
  • The owner
  • When it was last updated
  • Tags

Quick add to pinboard

Quickly create a new pinboard and add records to it by right clicking on any group of records in Orgvue.

How does quick add to pinboard work?

Right click on any group of records (on a chart for example) then simply select "add to Pinboard". You can then choose to create a new pinboard collection or add to an existing collection.

Hide the Action Toolbar

The action toolbar is loved by many but not by some. So now you can choose to hide the toolbar if you prefer not to use it.

How does hiding the Action Toolbar work?

Right click on a slide from the left-hand panel and then select "Hide toolbar". The toolbar will then be hidden for you on that slide.

To show the toolbar again right click on the slide again and select "Show toolbar".

Filter exclude mode

A new way of filtering data that allows you to exclude groups of records from your data. This is particularly useful when you have a property with lots of values (such as "City") and you only want to exclude one or two cities from your analysis.

How does the filter exclude mode work?

Open the filter control and select a property to filter upon. Then click the three dots to the right of the property name. Then activate "Exclude Mode".

Dependent sort

You can now sort by multiple columns in Worksheet. For example you can sort your records by department, grade and salary to identify pay outliers.

How does dependent sort work?

Press CTRL on a PC or Command on a Mac and then click on the columns you wish to sort starting from the left.

Quick edit property settings

You can now quickly edit the settings of a property such as who can view the data in the property or what format numbers are presented in straight from the Worksheet.

How does quick edit properties work?

Place your mouse cursor on the header of a worksheet column and then click the three dots icon to the right of the property name. Then select "Manage Property".
