Supply Forecasting
The supply forecasting stage will allow the forecasting of employees joining, moving internally and leaving the organization to be included into the workforce plan
This is an area of Workforce Planning that will be developed over forthcoming releases with the addition of different options
It contains:
- Retirement
- Voluntary Leavers
- External Hiring
- Internal MovementsComing Soon

- Review Projections
Review Projections
The Review Projections section allows you to view the impact to the forecast FTE of your workforce as a result of the assumptions entered for each supply category
It contains
- A line chart showing the FTE supply per planning interval
- Impacts on supply will be displayed by change reason for each planning period
- A table to show supply assumptions by planning interval
- A table showing FTE across role cluster by planning interval after assumptions applied
- The Toolbox options may be used to copy table values
Retirement
The age of the workforce is calculated from the mandatory Date of Birth
property
- Provide the expected retirement age for the workforce in the organization (Default age is set at 65)
- If required you can add detailed retirement ages by selecting the +Add Detailed Assumptions button
Voluntary Leavers
Select Voluntary Leavers
to open the input screen which contains:
- An overall expected leavers rate can be entered to apply to all role clusters for each planning period
- If required you can add detailed voluntary leavers rates by selecting the +Add Detailed Assumptions button
External Hiring
The external hiring option is available for quarterly or annual plans and allows you to define your external hiring policy from 3 options
- No, don't hire: This will set the hire rate to zero
- Yes, hire with limitations: Use the +Add Detailed Assumptions to define hiring limitations
- Yes, hire externally: 100% of gaps will be filled externally
To enter hiring limitations:

- Select from Role Cluster, Business Unit and Location to create workforce segments to define hiring limitations

to build the input table - The selected workforce segments will be shown in the table
- Enter values to limit the external FTE hiring of the segment. The value entered will be the maximum number of FTE that may be externally hired
- Entering zero for any cell will prevent external hiring
- Leaving a cell blank will result in no limits being applied to the hiring

Early Retirement
There is no default age option for Early Retirement initiatives
Retirement ages are entered by:
- Selecting +Add Detailed Assumptions button
- Select from Role Cluster, Business Unit and Location to create workforce segments to define Early Retirement ages
- Select
Create
to build the input table - The selected workforce segments will be shown in the table
- Enter ages for early retirement initiatives for required segments
- Cells with no ages entered have no early retirement initiative applied

Involuntary Leavers
Rates for involuntary leavers can be entered by selecting +Add Detailed Assumptions button only
There is no default rate option for involuntary leavers
Add Detailed Assumptions
The option to add detailed assumptions is available on each of the supply initiatives and the process to add them follows the same steps for each.
- Select the
+ Add Detailed Assumptions
button - This will open a modal to select from Role Cluster, Business Unit or Location to create workforce segments to enter assumptions against
- Select
Create
to build the input table - The selected workforce segments will then be shown in the table
- Enter values for time periods in the required format where detailed assumptions
- If the workforce supply action has default values then any cells left blank will inherit the default value, otherwise blank cells will have no assumptions applied
Reset Driver
Once a detailed assumptions input table has been created it is not possible to edit the table set up
If changes are required, then the Driver should be reset and the process of adding assumptions repeated
To reset a driver:
- Select the Ellipses icon on the Workforce Supply card
- Select
Reset Driver
- A confirmation modal wil then be shown

to reset the selected driver
