Workforce Planning Homescreen

From the homescreen it is possible to:

  1. Create a plan
  2. Open an existing plan
  3. Open the Resource Center
  4. Archive a Plan
  5. View Archived Plans

Create a plan

To start a new Workforce Plan select Create a plan

This will open a new screen with the following options

  1. Name*: Give a name to your plan that helps collaborators understand its main objective
  2. Description : Describe the objective of your plan and its scope
  3. Timeline: Your plan will be set along a period of time spanning from the Start date for a duration defined by the number of intervals
  4. Start*: Starting year and month from which your plan is defined
  5. Interval*: Sets the time periods in which you will enter planning inputs and visualize its outputs.
    Select from:
    • Month
    • Quarter
    • Year
  6. Count of intervals*: Duration of your timeline in number of intervals (months, quarters or years)
  7. End: Once the Start, Interval, and Count of intervals have been entered the End will autopopulate
  8. Select Save to save and continue to Plan Stages

Open an existing plan

To open an existing plan select one of the plans shown on the homescreen

This will then open the Plan Stages screen

Plan Stages

The process of completing a plan in Workforce Planning follows six stages

  1. Build baseline : Select a dataset to use as the baseline for the plan
  2. Cost Assumptions : Review and adjust your cost assumptions to be used in the plan
  3. Demand Planning : Forecast the demand for your role clusters
  4. Supply Forecasting : Forecast the number of voluntary leavers
  5. Gap Analysis : Evaluate gap risks and opportunities
  6. Position Planning : Delegate your position plans to be completed
  7. Recruitment Plan : Create a recruitment plan using the planned position changes and known workforce events

You can use the links in the navigation crumbtrail to navigate back to the menu screens at anytime in the process

Note: If you attempt to leave a screen with unsaved changes a warning will be displayed

Archive a Plan

Plans that are no longer required may be archived to remove them from the homescreen

To archive a plan

  1. Select the Ellipses on the required plan to open the menu
  2. Select the Archive plan button
  3. Select the Archive button on the message to confirm

The selected plan will then be moved to the archived page

View Archived Plans

Selecting the View Archived Plans button will display a list of plans that have been archived

Restore a Plan

To restore an Archived plan from the Archive page

  1. Select the Ellipses on the required plan to open the menu
  2. Select the Restore plan button
  3. Select the Restore button on the message to confirm

Duplicate a Plan

An existing plan can be duplicated by:

  1. Select the Ellipses on the required plan to open the menu
  2. Select the Duplicate plan button to open the duplicate plan window
  3. Enter a name for your duplicate plan
  4. Add an optional description
  5. Select the components from the baseline you would like to copy (Build Baseline is always selected)
  6. Select Create Plan
