Activity Analysis Survey

The Activity Analysis survey enables the allocation of people to activities based on the percentage of working hours spent completing the activities

It may be set up as either:

  • Individual Activity Survey: Completed by individuals for their own activities
  • Team Activity Survey: Completed by line managers on behalf of their teams

Dataset Prerequisites

Before commencing the creation of a new Activity analysis survey the following Datasets will need to be present in the required tenant and accessible from the workspace:

Activity Dataset

The activity dataset contains a hierarchical list of activities that survey partcipants will select from. Property keys listed are case sensitive

Required property keys: Email and Role

Important: People dataset must be hierarchical to enable a Team Activity Survey to be created whilst a flat or hierarchical dataset may be used for an Individual Activity Survey

Dataset Pre-requisites

Once the Datasets are set up, you are ready to create and distribute an Individual Activity Survey

Create New Activity Analysis Survey

  1. Select Actuals for Survey Intent
  2. Survey name: Type in survey name. This is a required field and can be modified later
  3. Description is optional. You can add description at this point or can add it later using the survey information Side Panel on the Home Screen
  4. Select Activity Analysis module
  5. Select the Activity Survey type from either:

This will start the wizard to create your survey in four steps

Overview of four steps

  1. Set Up
    • Choose your source People and Activities dataset from the tenant
    • Name the Results Datasets (optional)
    • Set standard working days and hours
  2. Customize
    • Configure survey settings and branding
    • Add and configure survey pages
    • Add and configure questions for each page
  3. Participants
    • Define survey participant list from the chosen People dataset
    • If new people are added to the underlying people dataset during the roll-out, come back to this step and make an additional selection
  4. Distribute
    • Customize a message and send out invitations to everyone at once or by group
